Joseph “Joe” A. Pinocci, Jr. of Dunedin, Florida and formerly of Rhode Island passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Born July 24, 1940 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Joseph A and Fernel (Koger) Pinocci.

Joe graduated in 1960 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He served in the Air National Guard of Rhode Island and the Reserves of the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1967. After serving the Air National Guards he worked as a young boy in the photography department of Ann & Hope; he worked various positions throughout his career before taking a job with Pressmaster, Inc in Newburyport, MA as a Sales Engineer selling Metal Stamping Equipment and EDM Machines before retiring in 2008.

Before moving to Florida his favorite hobbies were spending time with his children and grandchildren; boating on Narragansett Bay including many trips to Block Island, Warwick Cove or maybe it was just throwing the anchor any old place in the water. Joe and Jen moved to Florida in 2009 where they spent many a weekends soaking up the sunshine on Clearwater Beach, Honeymoon Island and visiting the local sights. He always looked forward to his morning walks with his best friend Steve Redfern along the Dunedin Causeway, Bayshore Blvd. or downtown Dunedin or maybe it was the stop at the donut shop or Sea Sea Riders for a cup of coffee.

Joe was a longtime passionate supporter of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. He was also very involved as a coach and touched the lives of many while doing so in the Coventry Soccer Association, Coventry Little League and Coventry Girls softball League. He was also a longtime member of Buttonwoods Campers Association, Warwick, RI.

He is survived by sons Joseph Pinocci III and wife, Michelle of Ladera Ranch, California, Scott Pinocci and his wife, Beverly of Narragansett, Rhode Island and daughter, Katie (Pinocci) King and husband, Mike of Coventry, Rhode Island. He leaves six grandchildren, Chloe and Lily Pinocci, Audriana Pinocci, Collin, Camden and Cailin King. Joe also leaves his companion and best friend of 20 years, Jennifer A. Roberts of Dunedin,Florida. He was the brother of Richard Pinocci and wife, Susan of Bellingham, Massachusetts, and Dolly Sullivan and her husband, Edwin of Warwick, Rhode Island.

A Celebration of Life will be held July 24, 2016 at Buttonwoods Campground, Warwick Rhode Island from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
