John W. LaMake, 47, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018, with family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Lana M. (O’Donnell) LaMake for 30 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Deborah (Clark) LaMake, and grandson of Medora (Clark) Landry. John was the step-son of William White. John worked for Weisman Roofing Co. for over 12 years. He then worked as a driver for the City of Warwick, Dept. of Sanitation & Recycling for over 16 years. John also worked for Seekonk Speedway. He loved racing and one of his greatest passions was working with his best friend, Ed Flanagan, Jr. From 2006 to 2018, John’s roles included track crew, Crew Chief for the Pure Stock and Street Stock, and driver of the Sport 4. “Rubbin is Racin’.” He was an avid New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan. Some of John’s fondest memories included family camping and fishing trips.

John was the loving father of Lisa Rae Beaudry and the late Raymond M. Beaudry, III; devoted grandfather of Raymond M. Beaudry, IV, and Jayson Beaudry; brother of Michael LaMake and Linda Marie (White) Saran. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and extended family.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 8:45 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Visiting Hours, Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
