John F. Cotoia, 88, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Claire J. (Fratus) Cotoia.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Filomena (DeLuca) Cotoia. He has been a resident of Warwick since 1960. John was a landscaper for over 50 years and was the owner of Cotoia Landscaping.
He was the beloved father of Cynthia M. Peloso (Thomas Hogan), Thomas J. Cotoia, (LaNelle) and the late William G. Cotoia; grandfather of Stephen Peloso, Kimberly Harvey, Christopher Correia, Cpt. Johnston PD, and Eric Correia; great-grandfather of Anthony, Brianna, Christopher, Sara, John and Morgan. He also leaves his brother-in-law George Fratus and is predeceased by his siblings: Carlo, Joseph, Adamo, Guido, Michael Cotoia, Sara Cunha, Etta Rotondo, Marie Turchetta, Yolanda Spinaci, Louise Ferrazzano, and Rosemarie Capuano.
