Joel R. “Bob” Williams, 88, died Saturday, December 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband for 64 years of Barbara A. (Freda) Williams.
He was the son of the late Asa D. and Mary (Jones) Williams. Joel was the houseware’s buyer for Benny’s for 50 years, retiring in 1992. A Korean War veteran, he served with the US Navy.
He also leaves his two daughters, Deborah A. Meiklejohn and her husband, Scott and Donna L. Lynch and her husband, James. He was the loving grandfather of Christopher and Haley Meiklejohn, and James and Julie Lynch, and the brother of Mary Williams Johnson and the late Asa D. Williams.
His funeral was held Thursday, December 27, 2018 from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Funeral Mass in St. Clement Church, Long Street, Warwick.
