Jennie (Pendleton) Knight, born June 22, 1951, in Westerly, R.I., passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Kent County Hospital. She was 66, and grew up in the Quonochontaug neighborhood of Charlestown, RI. She was the wife of William C. Knight III.

Jennie was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Marjorie (Congdon) Pendleton. Jennie was a kind and compassionate person, who loved knitting and needlework. She enjoyed baseball and NASCAR, being close to the ocean, and her many, many books. She was a retired library assistant in the Children's Room of the Westerly Public Library. When she was not doting on her family, she gave her time to many charitable organizations. She was a past member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and Eastern Star; she was a past member of Friendship Lodge #16 IOOF. She was a member, leader, and friend in Hope Valley Grange #7 and Washington Pomona Grange #2, and was a friendly face at the Washington County Fair every summer.

In addition to her husband, Jennie is survived by her sister Claire Card of Warwick. She was also survived by her son William Knight and daughter-in-law Erin, and her daughter Amy (Knight) Cutler and son-in-law Eric. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandson Billy Knight and to her granddaughters Katherine Cutler and Julia Cutler. She also leaves nephews and nieces, Walter and Karen Pendleton of CT; Mary and Martin Musgrave of FL; and Bruce and Julie Pendleton of GA; as well as the many loved children and grandchildren in their families. She was predeceased by her brothers, Charles, Lawrence, Palmer and his wife Elsie; nephew Randy Pendleton; and brother-in-law, Willard Card.
