Jason A. Simas, 33, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at RI Hospital from complications of Cystic Fibrosis. He was the beloved son of Linda (Phillips) Simas and the late Emanuel Simas, III. Jason was a volunteer at the J. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center, TF Green Airport, where he would meet and greet people, in the military lounge, JONAH, and served as an altar boy at St. Rita Church. He enjoyed rides to Oakland Beach, Conimicut Point, watching ‘Barney”, Dunkin’ Donuts at Hoxsie Four Corners, IHOP, Han’s Palace Chinese Restaurant, and McDonalds for a Big Mac,

He was the brother of Wayne E. Simas, and Tanya M. Oswald; grandson of Emanuel Simas, II, Phyllis Phillips, and the late Helen D. Simas, and Jesse Silva; step-son of Arthur Burdick, Sr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. at 10 a.m.Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park.
