How do the needs of our children not get lost in the seasonal flood of requests to support other good causes?

Our local kids – and many of our families need help. Working parents need a safe, affordable, and constructive site for their sons and daughters to go after school – a place they can count on to be a positive influence while not draining their entire paychecks.

You can help our children and their parents at this special time of year – and your actions will have a lasting, positive effect.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick does so much for our youth – but they need your help to continue keeping kids safe and delivering programs proven to change lives.

It doesn’t take a lot to make a big impact.

No matter what you give, you will make a difference. Thirty dollars is all it costs for an annual membership fee. It’s only $20 a month for our open door programming (no bus or day care) and if a family qualifies for free/reduced lunch, the monthly fee is waived. So you can see why we need donations. BGCW makes sure to serve every child who needs them, no matter the financial struggles of the family.

This year’s annual appeal tells of one mother who said that when her kids were young, ‘the Club was the most wonderful thing in our lives. While I was at work they kept my kids safe, and when I couldn’t afford Christmas presents, they made sure my children had gifts on Christmas morning.”

More than 1,400 youngsters are served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick every year. And this year the organization opened a 3rd branch to assist middle school teens during a very tumultuous time in life. The Club is not only keeping members safe, but providing them with fun and skill-building activities that will help them grow personally while giving them insight and direction to thrive in tomorrow’s economy.

Do you want to help a kid? Make a difference in our community?

As the chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick’s 2017 Great Futures Annual Campaign, I ask that you please take a moment and donate now to support our kids. Your help today will ensure a better tomorrow.

Happy Holidays!

Stefani Gallagher

BGCW Great Futures Campaign Chair
