Irvin Lee “Mark” Foreman, 78, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his wife Patricia of 49 years.

He was the son of the late Homer Lee Foreman and Zola Mae (Charles) Foreman. Irvin was a 1957 graduate of Community R-VI High School in Laddonia, Missouri. He then went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He received an Honorable Discharge after 10 years of service. He continued to serve and protect his local community by becoming a police officer for the Warwick Police Department. While working on the department, he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement from Salve Regina. In 1974, he was awarded the Medal of Bravery from the Warwick Jaycees, the Medal of Valor from the American Legion, and a Commendation from the Warwick Police Department for his exceptional police work. Irvin worked in the Patrol Division and Detective Division throughout his 20-year career, before retiring in 1988. Irvin spent his next 20 years working for Empire Loan in Providence RI, where he enjoyed making new friends and many memories. During his retirement, he loved spending time with his family, friends, and his dog Sadie. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and old western movies, taking trips to the casino, and singing karaoke with his daughter to his favorite Kenny Rogers song. Irvin was a loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was an excellent provider for his family, whose examples that he set forth will never be forgotten. You will truly be missed, yes, even your jokes. We love you always, may you rest in peace.

He leaves his daughter, Rebecca Vickers, and her husband William Vickers. He also leaves his wife’s children, Richard and Gary Armstrong and Lisa Manni and their children. He was the grandfather of William Vickers, Jr., Crystal Armstrong, and Matthew Pettigrew who were a true joy in his life. Irvin was the brother of Lorenia Marshall, Darrel Foreman, and Jimmie Foreman, and of the late Charles Foreman, Olivia Mae Gaston Snyder, and Sandra Kay Sutton. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
