Notice is hereby given that Bond Brothers, Inc. will accept union subcontractor bids for the “Providence Public Library Transformation Project”. Union contractors must abide by the Plan for Settlement of Jurisdictional Disputes as approved by the Building and Construction Trades Department, AFL-CIO. Sealed Bids clearly marked for this project will be accepted at the Bond Brothers, Inc. office at 1 Cedar Street, Suite 100, Providence, RI 02903 until Friday May 25, 2018 at

2:00 PM and then said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Contract documents are available electronically at no cost by emailing Gail Cullati (gcullati@bondbrothers.com). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening without permission of the Providence Public Library. A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 AM local time on Thursday May 10, 2018 starting at the 150 Empire Street lobby of the Providence Public Library, Providence RI 02903. Bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the conference. Subcontracts will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder whose Bid is in the best interests of the Project or Library. The right to reject any or all bids is hereby reserved. This project is funded in part by the Office of Library and Information Services, the Rhode Island State Council for the Arts, and New Market Tax credits, all of which have unique bidding and performance requirements. Bidders should read and fully understand those requirements detailed in the Instructions to Bidders portion of the solicitation.

It is the policy of Bond Brothers, Inc. and the Providence Public Library to include the participation of MBE/WBE firms in the project and not to discriminate against any employee or any applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, sexual orientation or national origin. This policy shall include, but not be limited to, the following: recruitment and employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, compensation, selection for training including apprenticeship, layoff and termination. All bidders are required to adhere to EEO policy.
