Grace M. (Ricci) Gage

Grace M. (Ricci) Gage, age 87, of Relph Street, Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis P. Gage.

Born in East Providence, a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Preziosa (Lorenzo) Ricci, she lived in Warwick since 1955. She was a graduate of East Providence High School. Grace was employed for several years by Old Stone Bank, later Citizens Bank, at their Hoxsie office in Warwick. Upon her retirement, she was honored with a citation from the Mayor of Warwick declaring her retirement day as “Grace M. Gage Day” in Warwick. Earlier in her life, she had been employed at Firemen’s Insurance Co. in Providence.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Sharon A. Drury of Cranston, Michael F. Gage and John W. Gage, both of Warwick, Kathleen M. Gage of Cranston, and Carol A. Cagle of Wakefield; a sister, Donna Motta of Seekonk, MA; and four grandchildren, Michael Drury, Lauren Drury, Taylor Cagle, and Katherine Cagle. She was the sister of the late Carol George, Anne Panzarella, Anthony Ricci, Armand Ricci, Rosemary Chakerian, and Joseph Ricci.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 15, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 350 Fair Street, Warwick. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
