Gertrude Zampi, 101, of Warwick, passed peacefully on Friday, October 30, 2020 at West Shore Health Center in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Giacomo “Jackie” Zampi who passed in 1978.
Born in Providence, she was the loving daughter of the late Constanzo and Philomena (Guisualdi) Saurino. She was employed as a Jewelry Worker for many years at Ray Findings, Inc.
Gertrude is survived by a beloved son: Carlo Zampi and his wife Colleen of Warwick; a cherished daughter: Jannette Greco of Cranston; two grandchildren: Steven Greco and Gina Milillo and her husband Joseph; and two great-grandchildren: Brianca Plante and her husband Evan and Fabian Vargas.
Gertrude was the beloved mother of the late Beverly Zampi who passed in 2008 and sister of the late Etta Corazzo, Connie Gambardella, Mary Polozzi and Angela Bianco.
Her Funeral Service was conducted on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends were invited and could call at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Private burial followed in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston for the immediate family.
