George M. Morgan Sr., 91, of Warwick left this earth Saturday, February 23rd, to join his beloved wife of 67 years, Florence G. (Colvin) Morgan. His last hours were spent at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 4, 1927, he was the son of the late William H. Morgan, Jr., and Amelia R. Morgan of Warwick. George was a World War II War veteran where he served in the Army. He worked several jobs to support his family starting his career with the formation of Morgan Trucking with his brother, Bill. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union. Following his retirement from the Teamsters’ Union, he worked as an HVAC Engineer for Miriam Hospital and Women and Infants Hospital until fully retiring. He was a member of RI Shriner Director’s Staff, the Masons, and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church. One of his joys was to drive the Shriner’s Director’s bus in the parades they participated in. He was an avid New England Patriots’ fan and lived in a home that celebrated both the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. Dad’s servant heart knew no boundaries and touched all lives he met. There was always a place at his table and in his heart for one more.
