Freela I. (Todd) Seabury, age 96, formerly of Park View Avenue, Warwick, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Mount St. Rita Health Center in Cumberland, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Preston B. Seabury, with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late William H. and Ella R. (Cobb) Todd, she lived in Warwick from 1952 to 2013. Mrs. Seabury was a devoted sixty-year plus member of Spring Green Memorial Church in Warwick. She was a member of the Social Action Committee for Civil Rights, was involved in protests for nuclear disarmament, and was a former volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Warwick.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Preston B. Seabury, Jr. of North Attleboro, MA, daughter, Beverly K. Faria of Cumberland; three grandchildren, Meka R. Seabury-Thompson, Emily R. Faria, and Jacob T. Faria; and great-grandchild, Zoey S. Seabury-Thompson. She was the mother of the late Todd A. Seabury, and the sister of the late William Todd.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service celebrating her life on Saturday, January 19, at 11:00 a.m. in the Spring Green Memorial Church, 1350 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Those attending are encouraged to wear something purple, as this was her favorite color. The burial will be private.
