Frank Zannini

Frank Zannini, 90, of North Ft. Myers, formerly of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL. He was the beloved husband of J. Maxine (Baker) Zannini.

Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Stephani Zannini. Frank attended Central High School. He left school to join the military, serving in the United States Navy during World War II. After serving his country, he returned to Central High School and graduated in 1946. He went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Management (1958), and a Master of Education Degree (1967) from Northeastern University. Upon graduating, Frank became the Vice President of Roger Williams College, and later served as Director of Buildings and Grounds for the Warwick School Department before retiring in 1992.

Frank is survived by his loving children, Francine S. E. Marzilli of Warwick, Anita C. Boyd of Cranston, and Frank Zannini, Jr. of North Kingstown; nine cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; he was pre-deceased by his three siblings, Angelo Zannini, Eleanor Reo, and Henry Zannini.

His funeral service will be held in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 am. Burial will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting Hours will precede his funeral service from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.
