Frances K. "Fran" Connell

Frances K. "Fran" Connell, 65, of Warwick, died Saturday at home. She was the beloved wife of John F. Connell, Sr., for the past 41 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Frances M. (Jastrzembski) McDonald. Fran worked as a licensed practical nurse at Rhode Island Hospital and West Bay Manor for several years and was a member of the 1st graduating class from CCRI with a nursing degree. Most recently, Fran had been a home day care provider, helping to raise many children.

In addition to her husband John, she leaves two sons, John F. Connell Jr., Brian P. Connell and his wife Katie; a daughter Christine A. Testoni, and her husband David; three brothers: Thomas McDonald Jr., Paul McDonald, and William McDonald; four sisters: Beatrice Stuart, Joan Smith, Judith Nabb and Ann Marie Sibole; two granddaughters: Olivia and Erin Testoni; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her best friend of over 50 years, Diane Simmons.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 8:45 a.m., from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt. 117) Warwick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave, Warwick. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m.
