Edward T. Sheedy, 83, of Warwick, passed away on October 3rd at home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Gail (Armstrong) Sheedy for sixty-three years.

He was the son of the late William and Florence (Townsend) Sheedy. Edward worked for New England Telephone Company for 35 years. He graduated from Lockwood High School and attended Massanutten Military Academy. He was active in sports all his life, coaching youth baseball and football and officiated high school sports as well as college basketball for many years. He was also a member of the Basketball Officials Association. The most important thing in his life was his family. He had a generous heart and was always willing to sacrifice for others. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Lee Sheedy of Berwick, Maine, and daughters, Lynn Sheedy of Warwick and Allison Chasse of Colorado and four grandchildren, Luke and Drew Chasse and Abigail and Amelia Sheedy. He was the brother of the late Lillian Brown and William Sheedy.

His Funeral Service will be held in the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Noon. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. – Noon. Burial will take place in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.
