It was serendipitous that Lincoln Smith ended up at Conimicut Point Friday morning. He had set out to photograph the sunrise from Rocky Point and on his way home swung by Conimicut to capture this image of the lighthouse emerging from the fog. That evening, and again quite by chance, David Chartier stopped by Conimicut in hopes of photographing the full moon. Not only did he catch the moon but also the Newport to Providence ferry as it sped by Nyatt Point.
