Do you recognize the name Ida Lewis, Prudence Crandall or Nancy Elizabeth Prophet?
During Women's Month, who better to take the time to recognize incredible women in history than Clouds Hill Museum and their newest exhibit, "Celebrating Women." The exhibit opens Sunday, March 17.
This exhibit will introduce more than 30 important women from history, many of them with Rhode Island connections. Some of the women are recognized as the first women in their fields including landscape design, publishing. Others made incredible and lasting impact on society during their time as abolitionists, suffragists, and entrepreneurs. They all helped to direct us to where we are today.
The exhibit runs from March 17 through April 6. No appointment is necessary on March 17 or March 24 between 12 and 3 p.m. Call, in advance, to arrange a time for your visit on any other day. General admission rates apply: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $8 for military/college student with ID, $5 for children under 12.
Clouds Hill, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization is located at 4157 Post Road in Warwick, a private home that has remained in the same family since it was built.
