Catherine D. (Souza) Magnani, 88, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was the wife of the late Joseph Magnani.
She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Kane) Souza. Catherine was a LPN for 25 years and had worked in the St. Joseph Hospital at Elmhurst Nursing Home in Providence. She loved animals and was a longtime supporter of the ASPCA.
She was the beloved mother Robert J. Magnani and Sandra J. Delack; grandmother of Kristen Johnson and Robert Delack; great-grandmother of Mabel Delack, Miles Johnson, and Charlie Delack; aunt of Debbie and Steve Souza, James and Michael Mahoney. She was the sister of the late George Souza, Frances Mahoney, and Anthony Souza.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 8 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long Street, Warwick. Burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Friday 4-7 p.m.
