Carol A. (Williams) Mackisey, 81 died Sunday, April 8, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 63 years of James J. Mackisey.

She was a daughter of the late Irving and Elsie (Edwards) Williams. Carol was a graduate of St. Xavier’s High School. She was a bookkeeper with Arts Printing until her retirement. She loved reading, the beach and spending time with her grandchildren, at Buttonwoods Campground where they summered for many years and in Naples, FL where they wintered for 20 years. For the last few years she battled Alzheimer’s with dignity and grace.

Besides her husband she leaves her children Deborah Carlson and partner Suzanne Coleman, Robert Mackisey (Lt. RI State Police, ret.) and wife Kellie, Kevin Mackisey and wife Barbara, Patricia Maccini and the late Barbara Gallagher; grandmother of: Patricia, Christopher, Malinda, Michael, Kelly, Shawn, Laurie, Nicholas, Casey, Jonathan and Aaron. She also leaves four great-grandchildren and was sister of Nancy Truex and the late Donald Williams.

Her funeral will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Clement Church, Long Street, Warwick. Burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m.
