(Disgusting teen coming of age junk)

If teenagers read movie reviews, they would be throwing rocks at us.

We sat through as much as we could take at the preview performance of the disgusting teenage coming-of-age "Booksmart" before walking out to the giggles of the young girls (Were they old enough to get into this R-rated movie?) in the front row.

And don't call us old fogies or prudes or say we just don't get it. We got it. Two students were good little girls through four years of high school, staying out of trouble, working hard to get high grades and be accepted to the college of their choice. Meanwhile, everybody else at the high school partied, had sex, smoked pot, drank, partied and had one heck of a time.

On the last day of school, the other students partied out of control through the school, as the book smart pair stand idly by, discovering that all these wild kids got into Harvard and Stanford and colleges of their choice. What have we missed? You mean we could have partied, too?

So our goody-two-shoes (Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlin Dever) decide that they will spend the night before graduation making up for four years of lost time. After one too many scenes of drugs, booze, sex and prurient activities, we had had all we could take. It has been a long time since we have left a movie before it ended. We wish had left earlier.

Rated a giant R with teenage drug and alcohol use, excessive profanity and sex.

Thank you for your honest review! Unfortunately, I stayed to watch this revolting film till the end. I don’t know what I was thinking; it didn’t redeem itself in the end. This film also tanked at the box office...I feel nothing but shame.
