Beatrice A. (Pilla) Petrarca

Beatrice A. (Pilla) Petrarca, 88, of Wakefield St., West Warwick, and formerly of Pontiac Village, Warwick for most of her life, passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hospice in Providence, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 10, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo E. Petrarca in 1999 and her son, David S. Petrarca in 2002.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Agostino and Adeline (Aceto) Pilla. Beatrice was a kind, generous and selfless person. She was a devoted mother, instilling these great values into her children.

She was the mother of Maria G. Dawson of Weymouth, MA, Robert W. Petrarca of Cranston, Richard M. Petrarca and his wife Ngoc of Simi Valley, CA. Beatrice was the “Grammy” of Cara Beatrice Dawson and Lauren T. Petrarca, and the sister of the late William Pilla, Nicholas Pilla, and Christina Petrarca.

Relatives and friends invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St. West Warwick, RI. Interment at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
