Barbara R. Butler passed away peacefully Saturday, December 23rd, 2017.
Barbara was born in Providence and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island. She lived in Warwick, Rhode Island, where she raised her family and had her career working for the dispatch/records office of the Warwick police department. Barbara was a one of a kind woman and anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her would say the same. Once retired Barbara proceeded to move to South Carolina with her daughter, Robbin and spent 21 happy years enjoying the South Carolina weather and tending to her beloved animals and her special granddaughter Arbin. Barbara was an enthusiastic member of her church enjoying the activities and events and friendship of the congregation. Barbara will be greatly missed, but the impact she left on those who knew her will live on forever in so many different ways.
She is survived by her younger brother, Thomas Gorton, six children: Robbin A. Santos, James B. Butler Jr., Jesse T. Butler, Jody B. Butler, Joel B. Butler, and Jamie B. Butler. She leaves behind seven grandchildren.
