Barbara W. (Ives) Kenney, 91, formerly of Kennedy Drive died Monday at the Fairview Odd Fellows Home, Groton, CT. She was the wife of the late James E. Kenney.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Ernest G. and Mary T. (Mahoney) Ives, she had lived in Warwick for most of her life. Mrs. Kenney was a secretary at ITT Hamill-Dahl for many years before retiring. She was a long-time communicant of Saint Benedict Church.
She leaves one son, James E. Kenney of Oakdale, Connecticut, two daughters: Nancy J. Kenney of Peacham, Vermont and Betsy Ann Kenney of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four grandchildren: Sylvie, Cameron, Shamus and David; four great-grandchildren: Emile, Brouwen, Embry and Aiden; one niece, Cheryl Mattera of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Edith “Nancy” LaPrade.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Frank P. Trainor & Sons Funeral Home, 982 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Calling Hours 1 hour prior to the funeral at 8 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave., Warwick at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
