Watch the skies! Keep looking! Terrific 1950s sci-fi is here! See three top science fiction films from the decade of outstanding big screen sci-fi at Warwick Public Library on Thursdays at 7 p.m.

On July 12, witness The Thing from Another World (1951), starring Margaret Sheridan and Kenneth Tobey. When the pilot from a crashed UFO is brought to a nearby Arctic military research base, the crew is forced to fight for their lives.

On July 19, observe The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), starring Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal. A space traveler and his robot bodyguard land in Washington, D.C. to deliver an important message to the leaders of Earth.

On July 26, behold The War of the Worlds (1953), starring Gene Barry and Ann Robinson. Martians attack Earth with sleek heat-ray shooting spaceships that can’t be harmed, even by an atomic blast.

For more information, call 739-5440 x9758. The library is located at 600 Sandy Lane. This event is free and open to all.
